Transport Layer Security Guideline for TU Darmstadt published

2022/03/14

As the first building block of the future crypto concept of the TU Darmstadt, the Transport Layer Security guideline (TLS-RL) comes into force with its publication.

TLS (Transport Layer Security) is the successor of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). TLS is a cryptographic protocol and is used for the secure transmission of information in data networks, with particular emphasis on the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of the transmitted information.

This TLS guideline describes the basic regulations and instructions for the use of TLS at TU Darmstadt to ensure a state-of-the-art level of security. The relevant IT-Grundschutz building blocks and the underlying guidelines are listed in the bibliography at the end of the document.

The guideline is available for download under the item “Kryptokonzept der Technischen Universität Darmstadt”.
