Girls in IT professions? For sure!

Girls'Day with the IT apprenticeship of the HRZ on 28.04.2022

2022/03/28

For many young people, role stereotypes still limit access to trades. Girls' Day has been setting an important example here for years and provides important impulses for schoolgirls from grade 5 onwards. At this year's digital Girls' Day on 28 April 2022, the IT training of the HRZ would again like to introduce girls to the exciting field of IT professions.

With a practical approach and lots of tips and information, the team members of the IT apprenticeship convey the many possible fields of activity in the field of IT at TU Darmstadt. For example, the girls can gain an insight into the server rooms and the Lichtenberg high-performance computer at the HRZ. In addition, they can gain their first experience with programming, they learn what similarities computers can have with the human body – and finally, each one programs her own small computer programme.
