2026/02/13

On 23 April 2026, the University Computing Centre of TU Darmstadt will take part in the nationwide Girls’Day, offering schoolgirls exciting insights into the world of IT.

As part of the “Girls’Day” initiative on 23.04.2026, ten schoolgirls aged between 10 and 13 will have the opportunity to get to know the University Computing Centre (HRZ) of TU Darmstadt. The aim of the programme is to introduce young participants to the diverse and exciting field of information technology in a playful and hands-on way.

The girls will not only become familiar with typical IT-related tasks but will also receive information about the IT apprenticeships offered at the HRZ. Apprentices from the HRZ will take part in the Girls’Day and share their personal experiences of IT training with the participants.

Girls’Day is a nationwide career orientation day designed to encourage girls to explore professions and fields of study in which the proportion of women is currently below 40 per cent.
