Access to central services only possible with two-factor authentication
2026/03/05
From 18.03.2026, two-factor authentication (2FA) will be mandatory for single sign-on (SSO). Without 2FA enabled, you will no longer be able to access central services. If you have not yet set up 2FA, please do so now to avoid restrictions.
The mandatory use of two-factor authentication (2FA) for central services was already announced in an earlier notice (see Mandatory use of two-factor authentication).
The technical changeover will take place on 18.03.2026 between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
What do I need to do?
- 2FA already set up? You do not need to do anything further.
- 2FA not yet activated? Please set up 2FA now (instructions).
What happens on the cut-off date if 2FA has not been activated?
Without activated 2FA, access to all services connected to the TU Darmstadt central SSO will no longer be possible. Anyone who has not yet set up 2FA by that time can still do so afterwards. Once 2FA has been activated, all services will again be available without restriction.
