Setting up the email account for students

These instructions describe the general setup process regardless of a specific programme.

If your programme does not automatically detect the correct settings, select the manual setup option:

1. Start the wizard to add a new account.

2. Select the ‘Manual configuration’ or ‘Advanced settings’ option.

3. Enter the necessary configuration data listed in the corresponding fields. Central configuration data

4. Once setup is complete, check your outbox by sending a test email.

Support and troubleshooting

If the setup is unsuccessful, please check the following points:

  • Function test: Can you log in to the webmail portal with your TU ID? If not, please check your password.
  • Network: Are you on a network that allows ports 993 and 465?
  • Support: If problems persist, please contact HRZ Service.
