NHR4CES Resource Allocation Board (RAB)

Independent national and international experts assess each proposal for computing time. According to regulations of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) the NHR4CES Resource Allocation Board (RAB) determines detailed scientific and technical criteria for the assessment of proposals for computing time.

The RAB is composed of experienced scientists and experts on operating supercomputers from both facilities from RWTH Aachen and TU Darmstadt each:

  • Prof. Dr. Karsten Albe (Co-chairman, Materials Modeling, TU Darmstadt)
  • Prof. Dr. Martin E. Garcia (Condensed Matter Physics and Ultrafast Phenomena, University of Kassel)
  • Prof. Dr. Christian Hasse (Simulation of reactive Thermo-Fluid Systems, TU Darmstadt)
  • Prof. Dr. Vera Krewald (Theoretical Chemistry, TU Darmstadt)
  • Dr. Matthias Meinke (Chair of Fluid Mechanics and Institute of Aerodynamics, RWTH Aachen University)
  • Prof. Dr. Heinz Pitsch (Chairman, Institute for Combustion Technology, RWTH Aachen University)
  • Prof. Dr. Franziska Schönebeck (Institute of Organic Chemistry, RWTH Aachen University)
  • Prof. Dr. Birgit Strodel (Structural Biochemistry, FZ Jülich)
