Personal Headset Microphones for Lecturers in Lecture Halls

Can be used immediately via adapter device

2022/12/19

In response to popular demand, the HRZ has now set up a facility for the use of personal headset microphones in the lecture halls of the TU Darmstadt.

A plug-in connection has been retrofitted to the headset microphones deposited in the lecture halls, with which lecturers can disconnect the headset microphone available in the lecture hall and connect their own personal headset microphone.

The analogue transmitters currently in the lecture halls have been given a short adapter cable for this purpose. (see photo below)

From 2023, the HRZ will digitise the radio links of the wireless microphones in the lecture halls. The new, digital transmitters will have a jack directly on the transmitter that matches the headsets. This solution will make it possible to continue using the current microphone headsets after digitisation – this also applies to your personal microphone headsets.
