Maintenance work: Activation of mandatory use of 2FA on SSO

On 18.03.2026 between 8.00 a.m. and 09.00 p.m.
+++ Update 13.03.2026 09:00 a.m.: The maintenance work announced for 17.03.2026 has been postponed and will now take place on 18.03.2026 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. +++ During the specified period the mandatory use of two-factor authentication (2FA) on the single sign-on (SSO) will be activated. From this time onwards, login to all services of TU Darmstadt that use the SSO will no longer be possible without 2FA. Once 2FA has been successfully set up, which can be done at any time, the affected services will be available again immediately.

From the specified time, the webmail interface https://webmail-linux.hrz.tu-darmstadt.de/ will be secured behind VPN due to the new IT security policy, as a 2FA solution is not possible.
