Additional protection for your TU-ID with two-factor authentication (2FA)

Activate now

2023/12/01

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an effective method to increase the security of your access data. You can now easily activate this additional proof of identity yourself.

From now on, you can secure your TU-ID with a second factor (e.g. a changing numerical code or a physical key) in addition to your password. This ensures that even if your password is compromised, an intruder still has to overcome an additional hurdle to access your TU-ID.

You can activate the 2nd factor yourself. After successful activation, the 2nd factor is always requested when logging in to the SingleSignOn server.

For some services, such as groupware, network drives and logging on to the workstation, the 2nd factor is not yet requested.
