Blocking of unauthorised e-mail clients from 1 February 2024: Instructions for users

The use of email clients that store access data and/or emails in the provider's cloud violates the information security guidelines of TU Darmstadt and the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation; german: Datenschutz-Grundverordnung – DSGVO) and jeopardises the confidentiality of sensitive data. Illegal email clients will be blocked on the TU Darmstadt mail servers from 1 February 2024.
Users of problematic email clients are requested to uninstall the unauthorised applications and reset their passwords.
