A new network for research data at TUDa

Kick-Off of the TUDa RDM Network

On December 7th, around 50 members of TU Darmstadt met in the ULB lecture hall for the kick-off of the new RDM Network. The network connects the new RDM officers at TU Darmstadt that have been appointed by research groups since the introduction of the new research data guidelines.

RDM officers support their research group in questions on research data management and serve as contact for TUdata, the central support unit for RDM at TU Darmstadt by ULB and HRZ.

The network aims to disseminate best practices in the field of research data, which originate from various divisions of TUDa. The interdisciplinary exchange benefits everyone, as the complexity of issues relating to research data management has steadily increased in recent years. Additionally, working on recommendations for researchers at TUDa is a central goal.

Thanks to the active participation of all RDM officers, first topics were already identified during the kick-off that are relevant to a large number of research groups, e.g. electronic lab notebooks. These topics will be discussed more intensively within the network in the future. The network's activities will be coordinated by TUdata.
