As part of the Erasmus+ program, trainee Juliane Kraft is spending three weeks in Lagoa (Portugal), taking advantage of one of many training opportunities and benefits offered by the University Computing Centre.

For many years the University Computing Center has been training many IT specialists in various IT professions as part of the training network .

Juliane Kraft has been one of currently 40 trainees since September 2022. In October 2023, the prospective IT specialist in the field of system integration took part in the Erasmus+ program. Among other things, the program offers trainees the opportunity to gain valuable professional and intercultural experience during a stay abroad.

Overall, our Erasmus stay in Lagoa, Portugal, was a unique and enriching experience. The combination of professional challenges, cultural experiences and relaxing moments on the beach made this trip unforgettable.

In addition to the opportunity to spend time abroad, there are many other attractive offers for trainees . These include, for example, language courses (German/English), participation in internal training courses, IT training and exam preparation courses.

Juliane Kraft is currently being trained at the Institute for Geosciences in the Department of Geosciences by Dr. Tom Schiedek and Daniel Heß. Training your own IT trainees is a great opportunity to counteract the current shortage of skilled workers and to build up future employees. If you are also interested, you will be supported by the IT training department at the University Computing Centre in cooperation with directorate VII.
