Programming with natural language: Kiro helps students implement software projects more quickly – from the first prototype to a complete web application. Students at TU Darmstadt can simply register using their student email address and receive 1,000 credits free of charge every month for one year.

Kiro for Students Programm

The Kiro for Students programme offers:

  • 1,000 credits per month
  • free of charge for one year
  • access to commercial AI models, including those from OpenAI, Anthropic and other providers
  • use for software development projects and numerous other use cases

Students can simply register at https://kiro.dev/students using their student email address.

Instruction to register

  • Click on “Eligible university students”.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  • Enter your student email address in the “Don't see your school listed” field.

Use at your own risk

You use the service at your own risk. You are personally responsible for complying with all applicable legal requirements, in particular those relating to data protection, copyright and confidentiality.

Note regarding the end of the first year

At the end of the first year, the Pro Account will automatically be converted to a free account. The data stored in the account will be retained.

You should therefore delete, before the end of the first year, any data that you do not wish the provider to have access to or use. Please note in particular that, after the end of the first year, data in the free account may be used for training AI models.

The Kiro for Students programme is free for students for one year (1,000 credits per month).

At the end of the first year, you will automatically switch to the free Standard plan. Any projects you have already created will be retained.
