Login Nodes Currently Available
(as of May 2026)
All login nodes listed here are part of the Lichtenberg High Performance Cluster, and can interchangeably be used for job submission and check.
However, compiling software should be done on the login nodes of the particular expansion stage you want to use later for your jobs.

The current list of available login nodes and their CPU load can always be seen with the cat /etc/motd command. The list is updated every 5 minutes.
Compute Nodes currently available
Expansion Stage 1 of Lichtenberg II
Due to failures of gaskets in the internal water piping of the nodes, approx. 85% of the expansion Stage 1 of Lichtenberg II (i01, 96 CPU cores, avx512) is currently available.
Expansion Stage 2 of Lichtenberg II
Due to the power short in March 2025 and the thus stinted 2000A power rail, approx. 23% of the expansion stage 2 of Lichtenberg II (i02, 104 CPU cores, avx512) is currently available .
Available Compute Nodes
The current number of CPU cores and accelerators (GPUs) available in total and allocated (occupied with jobs) can always be listed with the csinfo command.
