Update of the Zoom client necessary until 21.04.2023

The change by the provider makes it necessary to update the Zoom client to the latest version for the respective operating system. No action is required for employees with workstations managed by the HRZ.

A major change in the update is the simplified meeting attendance procedure. The functionality of the “Waiting for host” window is combined with the “Waiting room” window.

Unless you have a workstation managed by the HRZ, please install the latest version of the Zoom client for your operating system by 21.04.2023:

  • macOs 5.14.0
  • linux 5.14.0
  • vdi 5.13.0
  • iOs 5.14.0
  • Android 5.14.0
  • iOS – Zoom for BlackBerry 5.13.7
  • Android – Zoom for BlackBerry 5.13.7

For managed workstations, the latest version is already being rolled out.

Meeting participation only with the latest Zoom client

From 21.04.2023, you will only be able to attend meetings with the latest version of the Zoom client.

If you have not yet updated your client, you will be prompted to do so when you join the meeting.
