Update of the Zoom client necessary by 31.01.2024

Changes by the provider make it necessary to update the Zoom client for the respective operating system. No action is required for employees with workstations managed by the HRZ.

If you do not have a workstation managed by the HRZ, we ask you to install at least version 5.16.10 of the Zoom client for your operating system by 31 January 2024.

In the Zoom account of TU Darmstadt, at least version 5.16.10 will be enforced from 01.02.2024.

Attention: If you are still using an older version after the deadline, you will no longer be able to participate in Zoom meetings until the new version is installed. You will then be notified that the Zoom client needs to be updated.

No action required for workstations managed by the HRZ

The appropriate version has been rolled out for managed workstations since December 2023. The same applies to the VDI environment.

Meeting participation only with updated Zoom client

From 1 February 2024, you will only be able to participate in Zoom meetings if you have at least version 5.16.10 of the Zoom client installed.

If you have not yet updated your client, you will be prompted to do so when you join the meeting.
