The Zoom client needs to be updated due to changes made by the provider. For workstations that are not managed by the HRZ, a manual update is required.
Employees whose workplaces are managed by the university computing centre (HRZ) do not have to do anything. The update is installed automatically. The same applies if you use a virtual desktop (vDesk).
If your workstation is not managed by the HRZ, please update the Zoom client for your operating system to version 6.2.0 or higher by 31.10.2024. From 01.11.2024 at least this version will be required in the Zoom account of TU Darmstadt. We recommend that you install the latest version early to ensure that your meeting runs smoothly.

From 01.11.2024, participation in Zoom meetings will only be possible with version 6.2.0 or higher of the Zoom client. If you have not updated your Zoom client by then, you will be automatically prompted to update it when you join a meeting.
