Portuguese IT trainees visit the HRZ as part of Erasmus+

Valuable IT opportunities available for trainees

2025/04/17

As part of the Erasmus+ programme, Gonçalo Silva and Santiago Dias are spending two weeks at the University Computing Centre (HRZ), getting to know the wide range of training areas available at the HRZ and TU Darmstadt. During their stay, they are supervised by the Network Operations group.

The HRZ has been participating in the Erasmus+ programme for many years. The exchange with partner institutions is coordinated by the Heinrich-Emanuel-Merck School. In addition to gaining international work experience, the programme also focuses on developing intercultural skills and building both personal and professional networks.

Alongside the opportunity to gain experience abroad, trainees also benefit from a wide range of attractive development options. These include language courses (German/English), internal training programmes, IT workshops and exam preparation courses.

By the way: Training your own IT professionals is a great opportunity to address the current shortage of skilled labour and attract future employees. Anyone interested in doing so is supported by the IT training unit at the HRZ in cooperation with the TU training management (Department VII).

Further information can be found in our flyer (opens in new tab) on IT training at TU Darmstadt (German only).
