Chimney dismantling

In 2001…

after the new construction of the central combined heat and power plant on the Lichtwiese, the chimney of the old combined heat and power plant in the city centre was demolished. For this purpose a special excavator was placed on the upper edge of the chimney which gradually removed the stones. The demolition was documented with a webcam and can be seen here as a time-lapse video.
