TU Darmstadt Grid Certification Authority (CA) is available for TU Darmstadt in the scope of grid services. This involves the merging of several servers into a common infrastructure within which computationally intensive tasks can be processed more quickly. These are split into several subtasks, which are automatically distributed to the participating servers of the network. For secure communication between the servers, special certificates are required that identify them as trusted participants and guarantee encrypted data exchange.

Providers of servers within the TU Darmstadt who require a grid certificate can apply for one and have it issued in accordance with the DFN-PKI-Grid-Policy (opens in new tab). The DFN-PKI-Grid-CPS (opens in new tab) also applies.
