Electronic signatures are an important part of digitalisation. Depending on the type, they can replace a handwritten signature.
There are three different types:
1. Simple Electronic Signature (SES)
2. Advanced Electronic Signature (AdES)
3. Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)
They differ in terms of their level of security and/or legal effect.
More information on certificates and electronic signatures
Advanced electronic signatures (AdES) can be created with the user and function certificates supported by the university computing centre.
