VPN: Cisco Secure Client loses saved connection addresses

Software error in VPN client – workaround available

As of version 5.1.8.105 of the Cisco Secure Client for VPN connections, problems occur with the selection of the connection address under Windows 10/11 and macOS. After restarting the system or the client, saved addresses are no longer visible in the drop-down menu.

Computers that are managed by the HRZ are not affected by this problem.

Workaround:

Affected users can uninstall the client and then install an older version of the client via the page https://vpn.hrz.tu-darmstadt.de/ according to the instructions there.

We are working with the manufacturer on a permanent solution and will inform you as soon as this is available.
