Renting media devices

Various media equipment can be borrowed at the campus TU Darmstadt Stadtmitte and Lichtwiese.

User groups

Members of the TU institutions can use the service. Provided that the respective responsible persons guarantee it, the loan is also possible to student groups in the context of seminars, exercises and projects.

How and where can I rent media equipment?

Equipment can be rented and returned at the counters of the HRZ-Service Stadtmitte and Lichtwiese. Information on availability can be obtained in advance from the reservation system.

To reserve a device, simply use the online reservation form.

To pick up the device, please bring the device pick-up form (opens in new tab) filled out, signed and stamped.

Borrowing and returning items is only possible from Monday to Friday during the respective opening hours of the HRZ service counter (variations during the lecture-free period).

Availability of equipment must be checked via the reservation system beforehand.

Media equipment can be reserved a maximum of six weeks in advance, so you must plan your preparation time.

During the lecture period, media equipment can be borrowed for a maximum of three days, during the lecture-free period for a maximum of 14 days.

The service is free of charge.

In case of self-caused loss or defect of media equipment belonging to the TU, the borrowing institution is liable.
