General information about downloading and installing this setup
- From version 5.0, the product name ‘Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client’ has been renamed ‘Cisco Secure Client’. The interface is similar to the older version. The logo and some icons have been updated.

When you select your connection (next step), you will be offered a software download from the manufacturer to match your operating system.
Please be aware, the Java plug-ins within your browser need to be active during the installation process. If this is not the case, you will need to download and execute the setup file manually. See notes at the according provided instructions. - Connection type
- Connections via the group “campus” () allow you to receive an IP-address associated with TU Darmstadt's network. All connections will be routed through this network. This is only necessary for some external services. https://vpn.hrz.tu-darmstadt.de/
- In case of a connection via “extern” (), you will receive an IP-address associated with TU Darmstadt's network as well. However, only connections into the TU Darmstadt network will be routed through your VPN client. https://vpn.hrz.tu-darmstadt.de/
For mobile device operating systems, use the corresponding Cisco Secure Client apps.
