Agility
The university computing centre is undergoing change. Following the guideline “Much better – innovative, transparent, controlled” of Vice President Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Pelz, we are working on reorganising our internal working methods and structures. The change is intended to make our work more customer-focused and faster in order to provide our IT services reliably and in high quality. We do not understand this as a one-time change, but as a continuous process of further development, adaptation and improvement.
The staff unit supports the agile transformation with appropriate methods and principles and provides employees with advice and coaching.

Digitalisation
The digitalisation of the university in the fields of teaching, research and administration has progressed to very different stages in various sectors.
As the largest IT service provider at the TU, which is also entrusted with dedicated TU-wide tasks, the university computing centre (HRZ) has a specific responsibility and a design mandate here.
The Digitalisation Unit forms the interface between the HRZ and the university with regard to developments in digitalisation. It participates conceptually at those points where the competences of the HRZ are required in connection with the digitisation of the TU Darmstadt and/or the interests of the HRZ are affected, in order to shape the digitalisation process in a reasonable way for the HRZ and the entire university.

Customer service management (central administration)
