Transfer ownership of folders and files in next.Hessenbox

This guide describes how you can transfer ownership rights for folders or files to another user in next.Hessenbox.

Step 1:

  1. Log in to the web interface at https://next.hessenbox.de with your TU-ID.
  2. Click on your profile picture in the web interface and go to “Settings.”
  3. Navigate to “Sharing” in the settings.
  4. Select the file or folder in the sharing menu.
  5. Finally, enter the email address of the recipient to whom you want to transfer ownership.

Step 2:

  1. The receiver will receive a notification in the web interface (bell icon in the top right corner).
  2. There, the receiver can manually accept or reject it.
    Note: The transfer of ownership takes a few minutes. Once the process is complete, you will receive a notification.
  3. After acceptance, the folder or file belongs to the new owner, and you lose ownership rights.
