You can invite internal users, external persons, or guests to your folders in next.Hessenbox.
First step
- In the web interface (https://next.hessenbox.de), navigate to the desired folder.
- Then, click on the share icon in the folder line (see Image 1).

Enter the email address or name of the person registered at TU Darmstadt.
Step 2
Select the correct email address from the suggestions.
Step 1
Enter the email address of the external person. They must have been invited as a guest beforehand. The person will receive an invitation by email to log in to next.Hessenbox.
Step 2
You can also create a public link (Image 2, marked in purple). People who have this link can then access your shared folders.
Step 3
After creating the link, you can change the user rights (as shown in Image 3).
Step 1
Select the permissions for your guest (create, edit, delete, etc., as shown in Image 2).
Step 2
The invited person will receive an email with a link to create an account and access the folder.
- Important: Guests do not have their own storage space and use the owner's quota.
