Switch now to Sophos Central Intercept X

The current antivirus solution, Sophos Anti-Virus, will reach its end-of-life on 20th July 2023.
Regularly updating the software is essential for antivirus solutions to effectively respond to the latest threats. The solution “Sophos Anti-Virus” provided by TUDa to its employees and students will lose its protective capabilities on 20th July 2023 since the manufacturer will no longer offer any updates from that point onwards. Take action now and migrate to the new end-point protection, “Sophos Central Intercept X,” managed by TUDa-CERT.

Probleme mit Namensauflösung China

Aktuell gibt es Probleme bei der Nameserverabfrage im Bereich des China Education and Research Network Center. Betroffen sind zum Beispiel die Tongji Universität. Beim Versuch, Namen und IP-Adressen aus diesen Netzen aufzulösen, kommt es zu Timeouts, die dann in einem Nameserver-Fehler (SERVFAIL) münden. Aufgefallen ist es bei Mailservern, die die IP-Adressen der einliefernden Mailserver per DNS überprüfen. Durch die Timeouts kann diese Überprüfung fehlschlagen. Die chinesischen Admins kennen das Problem, konnten jedoch keine Aussage treffen, wie lange das Problem noch bestehen wird. Im Einzelfall könnte eine Abhilfe darin bestehen, betroffene IP-Adressen statisch über die Host-Datei Ihres Systems einzutragen
