+++ Update from 23.05.2025 1:30 pm: Issue resolved. +++ As a consequence of the LDAP outage, user profiles in Moodle are currently unavailable. We are actively working on a solution.

The MathWorks online services are currently not usable or only partially usable. The manufacturer is working on the problem.

Between approximately 00:43 and 06:20, the central LDAP servers were unavailable. This affected all services relying directly on LDAP for authentication, including eduroam, VPN, and logins to the HRZ ticket system. The central login service (SSO) was not affected and remained fully operational throughout the incident.

Guided tours through the Lichtenberg II high-performance computer

On 25 May, TU Darmstadt is offering the public exciting insights into research, innovation and teaching at the TUDa Open Campus. The varied and colourful programme for watching, listening, learning and participating offers exciting activities for young and old. Together with the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics, the HRZ offers guided tours of the high-performance computer.

The Software Asset Management policy at TU Darmstadt was adopted by the Executive Board in December 2024 and came into force on 1 April 2025. The HRZ was entrusted with setting up and operating the system. As part of the SAM project, the management of software licences for the entire TU Darmstadt is to be coordinated using a tool and standardised processes.

Extension of the Microsoft EES contract for M365 for a further 5 years

Employees of TU Darmstadt can continue to use Office 365/O365 products without paying their own contribution.

The University Computing Centre (HRZ) is now providing IT administrators with a central platform for up-to-date information, seamless exchange and direct communication – internally, securely, and efficiently.

+++Update vom 05.05.2025 um 10:09 Uhr: Die Störung ist behoben. Der Cluster ist wieder erreichbar.+++ In der Nacht vom 3.5. auf den 4.5 gab es Probleme mit der Kaltwasser Kühlung. Dadurch ist die Raumtemperatur im Serverraum auf circa. 45°-50°C angestiegen und wichtige Systeme haben sich automatisch abgeschaltet. Der Cluster ist daher nicht mehr verfügbar. Die Temperaturen in der Kaltwasserversorgung sind normalisiert, 2 UKGs sind allerdings offline.
