+++ Update from 23.05.2025 1:30 pm: Issue resolved. +++ As a consequence of the LDAP outage, user profiles in Moodle are currently unavailable. We are actively working on a solution.

The MathWorks online services are currently not usable or only partially usable. The manufacturer is working on the problem.

Between approximately 00:43 and 06:20, the central LDAP servers were unavailable. This affected all services relying directly on LDAP for authentication, including eduroam, VPN, and logins to the HRZ ticket system. The central login service (SSO) was not affected and remained fully operational throughout the incident.

Guided tours through the Lichtenberg II high-performance computer

On 25 May, TU Darmstadt is offering the public exciting insights into research, innovation and teaching at the TUDa Open Campus. The varied and colourful programme for watching, listening, learning and participating offers exciting activities for young and old. Together with the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics, the HRZ offers guided tours of the high-performance computer.

During the specified period, SharePoint will be temporarily unavailable due to urgent maintenance work with support involvement.

The Software Asset Management policy at TU Darmstadt was adopted by the Executive Board in December 2024 and came into force on 1 April 2025. The HRZ was entrusted with setting up and operating the system. As part of the SAM project, the management of software licences for the entire TU Darmstadt is to be coordinated using a tool and standardised processes.

The Unified Communications project of the University Computing Centre (HRZ) was launched in January 2025. The aim is to create a Unified Communications solution for TU Darmstadt. Current information and details about the project can be found on the HRZ website.

Extension of the Microsoft EES contract for M365 for a further 5 years

Employees of TU Darmstadt can continue to use Office 365/O365 products without paying their own contribution.

+++Update vom 05.05.2025 um 10:09 Uhr: Die Störung ist behoben. Der Cluster ist wieder erreichbar.+++ In der Nacht vom 3.5. auf den 4.5 gab es Probleme mit der Kaltwasser Kühlung. Dadurch ist die Raumtemperatur im Serverraum auf circa. 45°-50°C angestiegen und wichtige Systeme haben sich automatisch abgeschaltet. Der Cluster ist daher nicht mehr verfügbar. Die Temperaturen in der Kaltwasserversorgung sind normalisiert, 2 UKGs sind allerdings offline.

Update vom 07.05.2025: Störung behoben

+++Update vom 07.05.2025 um 07:25 Uhr: OneDrive für Studierende ist wieder nutzbar. Weiterhin bleibt die Situation durch die Reduktion seitens Microsoft angespannt. Online-Accounts über 100GB bleiben durch das neue Limit im Read-Only-Modus. Ein niedrigeres Limit wird in den nächsten Wochen entsprechend angekündigt. Vermeiden sie insbesondere dann einen starken Aufwuchs, wenn ihr Speicherverbrauch zwischen 20GB und 100GB beträgt.+++ Derzeit ist es Studierenden nicht möglich, Daten auf Microsoft OneDrive abzulegen, da der zur Verfügung stehende Gesamtspeicherplatz für Studierende der TU Darmstadt seitens Microsoft stark reduziert wurde. Leider hat Microsoft diese Regeländerung nicht hinreichend kommuniziert. Das HRZ arbeitet derzeit an einer Übergangslösung. Für die Zukunft wird der maximale Speicherplatz pro Online-Account für Studierende stark reduziert, zunächst auf 100GB, in Zukunft voraussichtlich auf 20GB pro Online-Account. Bitte leeren Sie jetzt Ihren Online-Speicher, damit Sie und Ihre Kommilitoninnen und Kommilitonen schnellstmöglich wieder arbeiten können.​​ Eine Anleitung, wie Dateien aus OneDrive gesichert werden, finden Sie in der rechten Marginalspalte unter „Links“.

Durch Update auf die Citrix MAC Workspace App 2503 ist keine Verbindung zu vDesk mehr möglich. Fehlermeldung „Keine Verbindung zu Citrix-SSL“. Windows Clients sind nicht betroffen.

+++Update vom 28.04.2025 um 14:34 Uhr: Die Störung ist behoben. Der Login über SSO funktioniert wieder.+++ Auf ShareLatex ist aktuell kein sso login von außerhalb des Campusnetzes möglich. Es wird empfohlen, bis das Problem behoben ist, sich per TU VPN zu verbinden.

Due to maintenance work in preparation for the S/4HANA migration, the SAP Accounting system (e.g. access to account statements) at TU Darmstadt will not be available from 1 p.m. on 16.05.2025.
